But what does it take to see our potential realised? Time. We all know there’s no such thing as an “overnight success.” The greatest endeavours take time. Time spent in planning and preparation and time spent in implementation. Seconds to minutes, hours to days, months even years. It could be said that “success” is in the journey of habits and the discipline of practice rather than one finite moment. To realise our potential is to reflect on the time we have spent working towards our goal. Patience. Slips happen, obstacles arise and the path is never one steady climb. Those that know know this to be true. Whilst “patience” may sound a passive quality it is a virtuous mask worn by those more earthly characteristics of grit, determination and resilience. Patience is the “relentless pursuit of excellence” and “never say die”. “Nothing Comes From Nothing.”
